Tranquility, the latest album from Max Prime, is a deep scrutiny of anger, frustration, selfishness, and tragedy in first person form. The result is an emotional deconstruction of negative aura’s that can only be silenced by our desire for … tranquility. It is for the most part mature in theme, but is accompanied by a few more-light hearted tracks and instrumentals to break the intensity contained within. Max Prime is a Canadian prairies MC who’s span of accomplishments include 2 pressed albums (Hardly Novices and Minstrel Cycles), a group album with his crew the LBA (Damage is Done), and accolades from winning freestyle battles at a young age. During the fall of 2008, he released online EP Sufferance, garnering a cult following within the online hip hop community for it’s uniquely abstract production values, Bukowski-like themes, and strong punchline-style lyricism.Recorded and produced by Max Prime and Mix & Mastered by DJ Nato, Tranquility is a Summer 2009 release and a collaborative effort between Busshaak Records and Up In Arms Recordings.
